CHRISTIAN DIOR Fall 07 Couture

STUNNING. A visual feast. I can't imagine actually being at that show. Very much up to the caliber of Versailles, where the show took place. A wonderful culmination of the '07 year. The ending '07 show brought together elements of each of the year's collections. There was the embellishment in the upper thigh-area of gowns from Spring RTW, the origami pleating of Spring couture, the return to the New Look seen in Fall RTW, and makeup from the Fall RTW show. Speaking of makeup, of course the amazing Pat McGrath is accredited to that. Just stunning. The headpieces throughout the show were quirky and beautiful. Galliano wanted each girl to represent the work of a certain artist, and there is no doubt that he himself has proven to be one of the best alive.
The 60th anniversary of Dior and the 10th anniversary of John Galliano for Dior. Only the best sufficed, from the return of the top supermodels to every design-aspect imaginable.
