MONIQUE LHULLIER Fall 07 New York

Monique Lhullier went hardcore on us, but just a bit. Going into one of her shows, you expect very soft feminine pretty pieces. There was a more edgy turnaround here, but still acceptable to her usual clientèle. I quite liked it.

The neck is interesting because of it’s fraying imperfect quality compared to the strict lines of the rest of the look.
I like the fabric technique of overlaying black chiffon/tulle over the metallic brocade.

what makes this different from every other metallic mini shift is the bodice.
