JOHN GALLIANO Fall 07 Paris

…is frickin awesome. His ready-to-wear show was much, much more like a couture show. The theme was great, as Poiret is being commemorated in the fashion world (the Costume Institute gala) and it’s a break from the monotony of the other shows. Galliano told the models that they were those women in the 30s that never left the bar. They were reminiscent of the silent movie stars. Pat McGrath worked her magic again with her striking makeup. Intense creativity and artistry throughout the whole show made it a success. This is a stellar year for John Galliano (Dior Haute Couture) and I can’t wait to see the print ads this fall!
